For a long time now, I have been assessing Lesotho’s contribution to the internet. From the research I gathered, I found that there is only 2%-10% that Lesotho contributes to the internet. When you want to search anything regarding Lesotho, it is by luck that you can find it.

Does this mean there are no technology courses offered in Lesotho Universities or colleges? The answer is no, there are universities that offer courses in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology and Computer Systems.

 But there is a problem, when you start an online business, the first problem you will face is that Basotho don’t care to read online articles. The only thing that Basotho care about is social media. We are a lazy nation; we don’t like to read. I realized this while assessing statistics on my blog, most of the comments on the articles I wrote on my blog, they come from foreign people; people who come from outside Africa.

HOW DO I MAKE PEOPLE TO READ MY ARTICLES?

It is unsettling to write articles only not to be read by people close to you. My dear reader, please I beg of you, how can I make my people (Basotho) to read my articles? The reason I am asking this is that even high-profile people don’t have existence online, there is no information regarding most important issues in Lesotho. There is no existence at all regarding many things, we have nothing to share to each other as writers or bloggers.

How will I be able to make money online when my own people do not have passion to find what is new online?

Only big companies have websites online, not to mention blogs, maybe 3-5 people in Lesotho have online blogs. When I want to connect to other bloggers, I am unable to because there are no bloggers to connect to.

Good people, please I beg of you, any ideas to implement on how I can make people aware that they need to start reading articles? That they need to have online blogs, I am saying this because we have a high unemployment rate of graduates. We have people who are educated, people who are skilled, but they are just ignorant of starting online business.

If I start selling my products online, how will people buy them if they can’t even perform online trading? Many people don’t trade online because of the scams that have spread on the internet.

Please my dear readers, I really need those comments on this article. I need your advice on how I can come on top of this problem victorious. I need financial breakthrough, and I can achieve that through my online business. I need to sell to my local people, most of my people don’t even know that they what a mere blog is, they just don’t know. It has been 2 years and I am failing to attract enough traffic to my blog. 

I will be thankful to hear all those suggestions below this article. I really need advice on this one.
